Leads & Extensions

Leads and extensions are the driving force behind every helical pile installation. Built from high-grade steel and precision-welded, these components make it possible to reach target depths and achieve reliable torque performance across all ground conditions.

Helical Leads

The lead is the first section of a pile driven into the ground. It includes a cutting tip, one or more helical flights, and a connection point. As it rotates, the flight pitch pulls the pile downward like a screw, anchoring it into the soil.

We manufacture leads using 80 KSI steel tubing and 107 KSI-rated connections. Flights are plasma-cut and die-formed for consistent pitch and performance. Every lead is checked to meet strict tolerances, with welds completed by certified professionals to reduce soil disturbance and ensure structural integrity.

Helical Extensions

Extensions are attached after the lead to reach the required depth or torque. Each extension includes a mid-shaft and male/female tool joints for secure stacking.

What sets our extensions apart is our patented inertia welding. This friction-based process fuses steel parts without filler metals or manual weld variation. It produces a stronger, cleaner, and more consistent joint than conventional methods.
